Flower Arranging Workshop a Blooming Success


On Thursday night, fifty enthusiastic Forest Parkers gathered in the library's Austin Room to learn the fine art of flower arranging. Kathleen Obirek, member of the Society of American Florists, professional flower arranger, and educator, demonstrated that everyone can create beautiful floral displays. It looks like Ms. Obirek has developed a following among our more green thumbed patrons, thanks to her previous workshops on container and serenity gardening!

Wednesday's attendees learned a lot about making the perfect arrangements for decorative accents and gifts, and several lucky people got to take the floral displays home with them at the end of the night.
